Practice Manager

SMAEC's Practice Manager, Dawn Westbrook, works closely with the Board of Directors to oversee the daily operations of the hospital.  She is responsible for staff supervision, financial oversight, and facility management.  She welcomes and responds to feedback from pet owners, referring veterinarians, and staff while ensuring that SMAEC continues to provide high-quality after-hours emergency care. Dawn may be reached at (952) 953-3737 x203.

Technicians

Veterinary TechniciansSMAEC's veterinarians are supported by Veterinary Technicians knowledgeable and experienced in Emergency Veterinary Medicine.  Some work for SMAEC full-time while others work full-time at a day practice and part-time at SMAEC.

Many are certified and all have formal training in addition to participating in on-going and on-the-job education.

Receptionists

Receptionists play a key role at SMAEC.  They answer the phone, greet clients as they arrive, triage patients, collect and process data, transmit files, and accept payments.  Furthermore, they have all been cross-trained to provide assistance in the treatment area as needed.
