Experienced CVT - Float Schedule

We are looking for full-time CVT to embark on a brand new kind of position. This technician will have a varying schedule from week to week, with a variety of tasks to include some leadership responsibilities, training, and covering critical shift openings for every support position in the hospital. Hours will be scheduled approximately 1-2 weeks in advance and will vary based on the hospital’s need.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Veterinary Technician license for the state of Minnesota.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a certified technician in a veterinary practice with emergency experience being ideal.
  • Must be extremely flexible with schedule, able to work evenings and overnights with very little notice.

Unique Floating Schedule:

  • There will be prior notification for most shifts traditionally 2 weeks in advance.
  • May also be asked to cover occasional shift openings in emergency situations.
  • Will only be required to work a maximum of 5 days per pay week or 40 hours.
  • Shifts range from 7 to 12 hours and could be evenings, overnights, or even mid-day.
  • Should expect to work a majority of weekends and holidays, but will have some priority in personal PTO requests.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Emergency technician duties: triage, phlebotomy, surgical monitoring, fluids, nursing care, diagnostics, constant rate infusions, transfusions, etc…
  • Once trained, act as a source of guidance and trainer to new team members.
  • Help organize work flow and problem solve issues on shift.
  • Fill critical shift openings on short notice to ensure continued high standard of care for patients.

Experienced Client Service Representative

Openings

  • 1 Part-time position for 2-3 evenings/weekends per week + holidays
  • This position doesn’t work any overnight shifts but will work one weekend shift each week.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a client focused role in a veterinary practice.
  • An Associate’s Degree or higher required.
  • The ideal candidates will not only be able to excel in an emergency environment and veterinary clinic, but will also have a passion for going above and beyond for our clients.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Emergency triage over the phone and in person
  • Client check-in and record management
  • Client check-out, accounts receivable and working with clients on payment options
  • Anticipate client’s needs, provide information and compassion
  • General clean-up of lobby, exam rooms, and entrance.

Experienced Relief Veterinarian

South Metro Animal Emergency Care is looking for an experienced emergency veterinarian for relief shift coverage. Immediate needs for short term leave coverage and on-going coverage throughout the year including holidays.

Working Shifts and Pay

Monday – Friday nights 6 pm – 8 am

Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays 8 am – 8 pm or 8 pm – 8 am or 12p-12a

Relief veterinarians are paid a base hourly rate or a percentage of production, whichever is greater.

All Doctors must maintain Standards of AAHA including the following qualifications:

Communication Skills and Medical Knowledge – The candidate can effectively take a history from the owner of the pet and following a thorough physical exam clearly explain their recommended diagnostic workup,  results of the diagnostics and their recommended treatment plan.

Compassion – The candidate will have compassion for pets, their owners and coworkers.

Customer Service Skills – Excellent customer service skills that provides the client with attentive, courteous and informative service.

Dedication – The candidate will demonstrate dedication to the profession.

Team Player – The candidate can work closely with the support staff to deliver exceptional patient care and service to clients.
