REHABILITATION FOR STIFLE INJURY: SAFE RETURN TO WORK AND PLAY

Liz LaFond, DVM, DACVS, DACVSMR, will be discussing what is known about rehabilitating patients with stifle injuries. This session will review evidence for rehabilitation protocols following surgery of the stifle (cruciate injury and patella luxation) as well as options for non-surgical management. A review of the recovery process will be included as well as techniques for ensuring optimal return to all levels of function.

ITCHING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT DERMATOLOGY TECHNICAL SKILLS?

You probably see derm patients every day. Performing technical procedures correctly will likely help your DVM come to an accurate diagnosis. Kim Horne, AAS, CVT, VTS (Dermatology) will be discussing the most common technical skills performed for these patients. This session will be geared towards the technical support staff of veterinary practices, but all team members interested in dermatology are welcome to join!

COMPASSION FATIGUE

Colleen Crockford, MSW, LICSW will be discussing Compassion Fatigue in this 90 minute event. She will review what compassion fatigue is and the signs/symptoms, how it looks in the veterinary community, individual self-care strategies, and clinic wellness planning. This topic is approved for 1.5 units of Continuing Education credit and is open to all practice team members.
