Meet Our Leadership at South Metro Animal Emergency Care
Dr. David Lindquist
Medical Director
David Lindquist, DVM, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in 1991. He then graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine, in 1995. He has practiced small animal medicine at several clinics since then. He completed an emergency and critical care internship at the Animal Emergency Center in Glendale, WI, in 2004. Dr. Lindquist joined SMAEC in 2008. He lives in Baldwin, WI, with his wife, their 3 daughters and 2 dogs. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, gardening, being a volunteer driver for the VA Hospital and being active in the Roberts Lions Club.
Nicolina Sciarretta
Hospital Administrator
Nicolina joined our team in July of 2023. She has worked in the field of veterinary medicine since 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Temple University. She has two dogs, Leo and Margana, and a long hair cat named Pineapple Chunk. In her free time, she likes to hike with her husband and dogs or likes to spend time with friends.

Assistant Hospital Administrator
Lauryn joined our team in January 2023. She has her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and has been working in the veterinary field since 2018. She has three cats, Flynn, Luna, and Phillip, and one dog, Stella. In her free time she enjoys to read, spending time with her family, and working on home improvement projects.

Inventory Coordinator
Katie joined SMAEC in July 2016. She graduated in 2018 from Dakota County Technical College with her Veterinary Technician Degree. She loves all kinds of animals, but her favorites are cows and sea turtles. In Katie’s free time she enjoys attending and showing at car shows, going antique shopping and spending time with family. She shares her home with her silly boxer, Castle.
Jennifer C.
Lead Customer Service Representative
Jennifer joined our team in August 2023. She has been working in the vet field for over 10 years, in both emergency and general practice clinics. She has two Boston Terriers, Daisy Mae and Vinny, and a cat named Farrah. She has a special interest in client education and in veterinary mental health.
