How To Make A Payment & Pet Insurance Options

Pet insurance is a great option to make caring for your pet affordable, and ensure that they receive the care they need, when they need it. With most pet insurance plans, you pay the veterinarian upfront and are reimbursed by your insurance provider after filing a claim. To compare pet insurance provider options, visit Pawlicy Advisor.

Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Cash. Additionally, we accept third-party payment plans, including CareCredit and Scratchpay. We also accept e-bill.

Scratchpay offers simple and affordable payment plans for large veterinary bills. Finding your payment plan does not affect your credit, takes just a couple of minutes, and can be done from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Whether you use your healthcare credit card to cover your deductible, or to pay for treatments and procedures not covered by insurance, CareCredit helps make the treatments and procedures your pet needs possible today.

Payment Policy

Costs: Our emergency exam fee is $209. This is the only price we can quote before seeing your pet. Once our veterinarian has had the opportunity to perform a thorough examination, we will prepare an estimate of recommended diagnostic tests and treatment. A certified veterinary technician will review all options with you and get your consent before proceeding with care.

Payment: All services must be paid in full before your pet is released from the hospital. For your convenience, we accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx, Scratchpay and CareCredit.

We at South Metro Animal Emergency Care strive for a “no surprise” atmosphere with charges. Following a thorough examination by one of our Doctors you will be given an estimate for a diagnostic and treatment plan and asked to sign a consent form authorizing South Metro to treat your pet. A deposit will be required at that time. The final payment will be required upon the discharge of your pet.

Those who may need financial assistance can apply for Care Credit or Scratch Pay.
